Upton Country Park
SCHOOLS
PROGRAMME
a unique outdoor learning experience
KS1 + 2 and SEND
Set in 160 acres of a Grade II* Georgian estate, formal and natural parkland, shoreline, woodland and heathland, Upton Country Park offers unique opportunities for cross curriculum learning in an outdoor setting throughout the year.
Outdoor learning across the curriculum
Our facilitated schools’ sessions cover Science, History, Art, Geography, Maths, English, Design Technology and Physical Education curriculum objectives, with all the added value of getting close to nature and the health and well-being benefits that being outdoors provides.
We encourage the trying of new things, spoken communication, team work, creativity and persistence so that pupils come away with experiences beyond everyday classroom learning and take new skills with them back to school.
FACILITATED SESSIONS
Facilitated sessions run all year round on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for both KS1 and KS2 (unless otherwise stated). Sessions are designed to accommodate a single class (up to 34 children), or a split class. All sessions can be adapted for SEND classes, please get in touch to discuss your class requirements.
